Möbius is the introduction opening song from the movie Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway or Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash and is composed by Hiroyuki Sawano, and sung by mpi, Laco and Benjamin. The music video was released on May 7, 2021 and is track 1 on the Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway Original Motion Picture Soundtrack album released on June 11, 2021.

Music Video

The music video for the song was uploaded to the official Gundam media Youtube channel on May 7th, 2021.

It features mpi, Laco and Benjamin on a stage intercut with scenes from the Gundam Hathaway movie.

Movie Inclusion

The movie uses the song fairly early on in the Gundam Hathaway movie, roughly 15 minutes after the movie starts and following the intense government shuttle hijacking scene.

Movie Opening

The opening begins after the main character, Hathaway Noa, finally introduces himself to another major character and the scene cuts to black. We are then introduced to an opening cinematic featuring some major credits with visuals of mobile suits that appear in the movie, cutting to black between each one shown.
The first appearence is the Gundam Penelope, an imposing experimental Earth Federation mobile suit. It is framed as a menacing, hulking threat as it is the primary antagonist to the main character's Gundam. It is shown in combat form only showing its head before cutting to black, then is next seen in flight mode.
The next mobile suit to appear is the Gustav Karl, the fill in grunt unit of the Earth Federation's forces.
The next mobile suit is the Messer Type F01, the primary grunt unit for the protagonist's mobile suit forces known as Mafty.
Following this is a sequence of cuts portrayed as a freeze frame showing a fight between the 2 grunt units as the camera pans around, zooming in on their faces and their weapons.
The next scene breaks the mold by suddenly cutting to a scene where it shows mobile suits not from the movie, but instead another Gundam movie titled Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counter Attack which has major importance to the motivations for Hathaway Noa.
The mobile suit seen is the α Azieru but also goes simply by Alpha. The suit is an experimental mobile suit that was piloted by someone Hathaway cared for deeply in the events of Char's Counerattack.
Next is a cut revealing that the Alpha is in combat with another mobile suit that appears to have a triangular shield around it, and it is soon revealed that it's the ν or Nu Gundam, a Gundam piloted by Amuro Ray, one of the strongest pilots during Char's Counterattack.

Some other songs that were huge hits when they were released alongside the movie were 閃光 by Alexandros which is the song used for the ending and Tracer by Benjamin which is featured in the scene of the first mobile suit assault.
